Aug. 21
11:10 a.m. A caller from the Price Doyle Fine Arts Center reported a raccoon in the fifth floor southern stairwell. Facilities Management was notified.
6:37 p.m. A caller from the Residential College Circle reported his or her scooter was vandalized while parked south of Hart College.
10:36 p.m. Murray State Police in the parking lot east of Richmond College issued a citation to Colton Sullivan, nonstudent from Penrod, Ky., for possession of alcohol by a minor and drinking alcohol in public.
Aug. 22
10:07 a.m. Murray State Police issued a citation at 15th and Main streets to James White, alumni from Hazel, Ky., for speeding.
7:52 p.m. A caller from Pogue Library reported two raccoons climbing up the northeast corner of the building. Central Plant was notified.
9:44 p.m. A caller from the Quad reported being almost hit by a vehicle driving on the sidewalk. The caller reported several vehicles were in the quad. The vehicles were gone on officer arrival.
Aug. 23
12:40 a.m. An officer checked on two people in a vehicle behind Woods Hall. The subjects said they were working on an art project.
2:02 p.m. A caller from Franklin College reported fireworks being shot off behind the college. Officers retrieved several packages of fireworks.
7:59 p.m. A resident advisor at Elizabeth College reported students started a fire outside the college. The Murray Fire Department was notified, and the fire was extinguished in an ashtray. The state fire marshall, Murray State Environmental Safety and Health and housing were notified.
Aug. 24
6:25 p.m. Central Plant reported a fire alarm at Regents College that was not received at Public Safety. Central Plant reported it was a problem with a boiler.
7:42 p.m. A caller from Richmond College reported a third floor smoke detector beeping. Central Plant was notified.
9:22 p.m. The residence director at College Courts reported a clicking sound coming from a box beside an apartment. Central Plant was notified.
